THALASSOPHOBIAThis piece was made with acrylic paint on canvas. It is meant to invoke the terror of the deep sea. I often have recurring dreams about swimming through a vast ocean where noise is muffled and vision is blurred. Sometimes I will see huge figures moving through the water or hear deep voices echoing from far away. This piece was inspired by the feeling of being insignificant and vulnerable in the face of the endless sea and the imagery was meant to emulate the deep blue scenery of my dreamscapes. |
