Desolation
This piece was made to convey a feeling of loss. The artwork consists of three angels stuck in separate situations all combating issues of being left behind, stuck, or rejected. Showing the idea that even beings seen as perfect could feel despair and hopelessness. This piece shows my inner conflict when faced with religious ideas, understanding them, and not fitting the mold of what allows someone happiness. The three scenes in sequence show an increasing level of punishment from the swords stuck in his wings, to the loss of wings and finally being denied entry to the gates. Using fine tip pens and brush pens to complete this work and with it show the complex feeling surrounding this piece.
