Weaving Demonstration

Anja Reinshagen and Jaime Enachescu invite you to come and weave with them on Wednesday, December 4, between 11 and 3 in the Main Mall.

The weaving project is part the Directed Studio class. The title of the artwork is "Connections" – join and throw a shuttle or two. No experience necessary!

We are connected

To each other, our warps are attached, from one loom to another. We are weaving towards each other;

We are connected

To the community of weavers, by the weave structures we use, the fibres we choose and the colors we prefer;

We are connected

To our fellow students, and our teachers, we share the experiences of our years in school and the path we walk together;

We are connected

To the weavers that came before us, for thousands of years cloth has been woven on looms;

But the cloth we weave is unique!
