CollisionThis piece is a black and white Lino print with two birds, a raven and a shearwater, crossing each others’ paths. They look in different directions and pose as symbols of placement. The raven represents my hometown, and the shearwater represents my current home at Pearson college. I attempted to capture the look of ripples around them which served as an index. My icons are the lines and colours which represent nothing other than what they are. Lines and value. This piece is the collision and the conflict I was having of what I should call my home. |
