Sandbags

Taking inspiration from the duality of a sandbag's usage and weight, Sandbags aims to capture the consequences of resilience through both a physical and emotional lens as a wearable artwork.

Sandbags was dyed using watercolors passed down from my grandfather, then left out in my backyard to soak up the elements.
Inside each sandbag are pouches of real sand in traditional Korean teabags to keep them from leaking, adding a cultural element to this piece.
