SwansThe collection of three Swan images are a series I created based on the main inquiry question that explores how you can express relationship dynamics through atmosphere. I represented this using colour and different perspectives to enhance the emotions of the separate dynamics within a relationship. Each of the pieces shows a distinct emotion that comes from an individual's relationship status. A healthy relationship, a toxic relationship and an individual's relationship within themselves is communicated through my use of separate elements and principles, creating and atmosphere that highlights the corresponding emotions. I drew inspiration from the natural relationship of mating for life that takes place between swans and how those relationships may differ. I chose to use oil paints for these pieces in order to both achieve a smooth and rich image, as well as to enhance my personal skill and understanding of oil media. |
