A pig wearing lipstick is still a pigI wanted to convey the feeling I experience when looking at myself, How no matter what I do ill always be a so called “pig” in the eyes of society, as I am fat and have been since I was a child, And if you’re different kids can be harsh and I got the brute force of that, I was made fun of because i was a chubby kid and i didnt understand why everyone hated me. I would look at myself and start to believe everything they said about me, which only grew worse over time. I used scratch board for this piece, I refranced a lot of older cartoon drawings of pigs, as people tend to make them look evil or scary and using photos references of real pigs, As well as a few different sinks from different angles to get the right idea. |
