The Curse Of An Old ManThe monkey is the spirit of the old man. The old man has a curse on him and is under the Algae bloom. Algae blooms often represent sadness and sorrow. The monkey is on top of the water reflecting on the old man, himself. Out of the water, he shows that he is happy since it is truly not him. The little duck represents how he looks back at his childhood and reflects on himself. Therefore, the top part of the artwork shows the old man, who is not himself truly and the bottom shows the old man being cursed due to his past. |
