The Artist's DilemmaMy artwork, "The Artist’s Dilemma", is about burnout. More specifically, the kind that artists feel when they are forced to do the thing they love for so long that they end up resenting it. In the artwork, the hand caught in the colourful elastics represents the physical and mental strain artists experience when they are overworked. Ironically, their creative struggle becomes the very thing keeping them from feeling freedom. |
