Mix n’ MatchThe second piece is an illustration representing a person’s decisions of clothing. I chose this as I feel it strongly depicts an individuals personality and style as fashion may vary depending on a persons dislikes/likes. The colours are a rather grunge feeling of which corresponds to the casual streetwear aesthetic and contrasting to what the modern “male gaze” portrays, the character is dressed in preferably masculine clothing. I wanted to emphasize the element of gender in fashion, and so I attempted to make the illustration more masculine whilst having a female character as the central piece. |
