Character DesignsThese character design were created by pulling three words out of a jar at random. For the first piece, the three words were Polar, Death, and Triangle. I implemented these words by creating a half-human, half-Polar bear creature that hunts in the Antarctic. While researching I noticed a pattern where hunters usually wear animal fur, so I wanted to take that and flip it around so that an animal was wearing its environment instead. With her outfit I used very sharp designs to depict the triangles and the rest I used creative liberties to make her visually interesting. The second piece's words were Sun, Goddess, and Pearl. I implemented the Sun by showing fire and depictions of the sun along the character's clothes, as well as placing pearls and colouring the clothes with the same palette as one that you would find on a pearl. With the word Goddess, I implemented exaggerations of Goddess around the world to create a character with that immortal energy. For the third and final design, the words were, Blossom, New-age, and Civilian. With these simple words instead of focusing on details I tried my best in creating a colour pallete that was visually interesting taking inspiration from colour palletes they included cherry blossoms in our everyday modern world. As well as that I had researched fashion trends to try and create an exaggerated depiction of our modern world.
