Visiting artist talk: Colin Menzies aka Subliminal Rabbit

Summer visiting artist talks for AUArts staff, faculty and students.

Colin Menzies is a Ukrainian, Mohkinstis/Calgary-based queer artist producing visual art and music under the alias Subliminal Rabbit. His/their projects typically start with a drawing with a hidden rabbit. Colin’s drawings have appeared in TANK magazine and on the big screen for an animation series called SELFIES, which he drew, wrote, voiced and scored. The 3-episode series was selected for Montreal, Australia and Los Angeles film festivals. He also created a multimedia stage piece for ‘Orlando’ at the Vienna Opera House and received various awards for  Innovation, Collaboration and Best International Music Video.
