Continuing Education refunds and withdrawals

Save yourself from confusion by getting familiar with our policies. Knowledge is power. It is up to you to understand these policies before registering for our courses.

Withdrawals

Withdrawal requests must be submitted by email. Your withdrawal will be effective from the date we receive your request.

Please include the following information in your withdrawal request:

  • Your name
  • Course title + code
  • Course start date
  • Reason for withdrawal

Refunds

Refunds are offered on the following terms:

  1. The $55 processing fee (+ GST) included in your tuition is non-refundable after registration.
  2. In order to receive a full tuition refund you must withdraw at least seven (7) calendar days before your first course meeting.
  3. No tuition will be refunded for a withdrawal under seven (7) calendar days before the start date of your course. 
  4. We understand that unexpected circumstances, such as illness or a death in the family may arise. Please email us to discuss your situation, and we will evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis. You may be required to present a doctors note or other proof of illness.

Course Cancellations

Courses are subject to cancellation at any time before their start date. Cancellation is based on inability to reach minimum enrollment numbers.

If a course is cancelled we will notify you immediately. You may choose to receive a full refund, or you may transfer to another course in the same term. 

Wait Lists

Many of our courses fill up quickly! If you register for a class that is full, you will be automatically added to a waitlist.

If a space opens up before the second class, we will contact those waitlisted in the order they were placed on the list.

Fee Schedule

Please note that in addition to your course tuition, certain administrative fees may apply to your registration, including charges for assisted enrollment, transfers and registrations completed after the deadline. Our fee schedule is as follows:

Processing FeeA one-time fee for course registrations that is included in the price of your course. This is non-refundable.

Assisted Enrollment FeeThis fee will be added to registrations completed with direct assistance from our staff.

$25

Transfer FeeA service fee applied to cover the administrative costs of processing student transfers. This fee is waived if notice is given within 24 hours of registration. This does not include transfers when a course is cancelled.

Late feeAn additional charge applied to registrations submitted after the designated registration deadline.

GSTGoods and Services Tax (GST) is applied to the total transaction amount at 5%.
