Sky's career has been long and varied in both art and design - from graphic design to lots of story telling as the Creative Director in the planning through installation of museums and visitor centres in Alberta, B.C. and the Arctic.
Sky has operated a custom yardage screen printing studio, instructed in the Textile Department at ACAD and is now Instructing with AUArts Continuing Education Department.
"Lately, I have combined the message making and printing into a series of politically motivated pieces. I have been making “VOTE COATS” with my printed fabric. I use my screens as a brush, printing along a yardage using layers of images and colour." - Sky

"In my introduction class, I encourage participants to mix pigment colours from scratch, cut images from paper and print, print, print!
It’s important to learn the rhythm and the dance of printing, understanding how to use colour and layering. The interaction between participants supports a broader conceptual outlook and a sharing of materials - introducing a broad experiential approach before focusing on a personal project." - Sky
