The Alberta Library Card and Interlibrary Loans

AUArts is a member of The Alberta Library (TAL), which supports the information needs of all Albertans through resource sharing and borrowing between member libraries. 

AUArts Students, Faculty and Staff TAL Users 

A TAL card is required in order to borrow from other member libraries and can be obtained at the front desk. Each participating library will inform you of their lending policies. 

External Community TAL users 

You are welcome to borrow from the Luke Lindoe Library with a TAL card acquired from your home library (public or school). You may borrow up to 5 items at a time, with no renewals. External users are unable to borrow from our Video and DVD collection. 

AUArts Students, Faculty and Staff 

Contact library@auarts.ca if you would like assistance with locating items at other libraries.   

For items located in libraries within the city of Calgary, please use your TAL card to borrow items in person. 

Please be aware that there is a time factor in obtaining interlibrary loans and items requested and not picked up may be subject to a $5.00 fee. All borrowed items must be returned to the front desk.
