Definition of a SoulThis piece is an exploration of the ethereal concept of souls, more specifically, my soul. The dress is composed of over 150 cyanotype patches, each showcasing the people, places, and events that have left remarkable impressions on me. Together, these photographs, handpicked from my life, display the accumulation of connections that have led to my identity. In short, “Definition of a Soul” is a visual representation of my immortal essence of life. The hand-embroidery on the chest pays homage to my younger self, who used to believe your soul was a part of your body kept on the right side of your chest, opposite your heart. |
