TransitionsThis piece is extremely personal as it depicts the feeling of going through changes in life, both internal or external. My family and I immigrated to Canada when I was only a child in elementary school, and the transition from comfort and familiarity to a country where I knew nothing was a challenge to say the least. Looking back, I see that point in my life just as the time in a goldfish’s life when it gets chosen in the store and brought to its new home. The message I want to convey through this piece is that while life transitions seem dark and a bit terrifying, it does get better. |
