Keyano College has won the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Innovation Award for the Huskies’ new jerseys designed by AUArts Student and Fort Chipewyan Indigenous artist Emma Voyageur.
The newly designed jerseys were revealed earlier this year during a ceremony before a Huskies basketball game. Keyano College's volleyball, soccer and basketball teams all wear the jerseys featuring one of the three unique designs.
Each design features the land, water and sky with vibrant fire tones, water tones and earth tones all connecting us to the land we reside on and the beauty within it.
The 2022 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Innovation Award recognizes a member institution that has developed an initiative demonstrating unique marketing, communication or technological advances in its athletic program.
