A spotlight on Indigenous voices
Azby Whitecalf (BDes ’20, VCD) is an Indigenous fine artist and illustrator with a focus on storytelling and culture. In this video, Azby discusses exploring themselves and studying in a place that respected them as an Indigenous person. Their goal is to showcase Indigenous femininity and sexuality and to use their voice to share Indigenous stories in an accurate and positive light.
Azby is a Plains Cree Character Designer and Illustrator based out of North Battleford, Saskatchewan (Treaty 6 Territory).
