Penelope Brook

A Tale of Two Lived Cities; A Survival Journey

The MFA in Craft Media facilitates the exploration of ceramics, fibre, glass or jewellery and metals through autonomous practice-led research, in an intensive 20-month program. Mentored by internationally acclaimed artists and scholars, students produce a body of work and research that expands the field of contemporary craft.

A Tale of Two Lived Cities; A Survival Journey is an exploration of the camera as a craft tool and collage delving into themes of displacement and return. It is a framed account of Brook’s experience in Seoul, South Korea and Calgary, Alberta displayed as a large deconstructed flag book.
