Disability Arts Event

The Disability Arts Event, organized and hosted by Mount Royal students, will showcase art by AUArts MFA students Jordan Mitchell and Jesi Yager.

Free, everyone is welcome.

Jesi Yager is an artist, researcher and glassworker who is drawn to glass as a medium because the process is a meditative blend of science and magic. Jesi’s current work is an exploration of triumph and struggle, of pain and joy, of finding wholeness through limb loss, of resilience and survival.

Jordan Mitchell is an interdisciplinary artist working in ceramics, painting, sound, video and drawing. Jordan’s work explores concepts of internal and external difference in relation to disability, alienation, and non-normative practices.
