Apply for 2025 Summer Residency Program

Our campus is one of the best equipped universities of art, craft and design.

We offer facilities for Ceramics | Glass | Drawing | Fibre | Jewellery | Painting | Print Media | Photography | Media Arts | Sculpture | Visual Communication and Design

During the 10-week residency, you will have an assigned home studio space and access to studio facilities and technical support to develop your independent studio work and research. Residency activities such as visiting artist talks, studio visits, group critique and seminar sessions are hosted throughout the summer to add to your experience.

The Summer Residency offers space for up to 25 artists who have demonstrable technical skill in their studio areas. We encourage applications from:

• AUArts alumni or community artists
• AUArts undergraduate students with 90 or more degree credits and a minimum GPA of 2.0.

APPLICATION DEADLINE - March 31, 2025

This year, we’re excited to offer up to 10 research scholarships to support outstanding residency projects. All eligible applicants will automatically be considered based on the strength of their Research Proposal.

Scholarship awards range from $250 to $500 and will be applied directly to the residency fee upon registration.
