Stephen Dozois | Featured Artist

Stephen Dozois (former AUArts student) works in a variety of mediums — acrylic, watercolour and charcoal — though he is most known for his vibrant snowy landscapes and urbanscapes in oils. His art draws on both contemporary and traditional styles, with a special focus on western Canadian themes.  

Having resided in various regions of Canada, he is inspired by diverse landscapes, including the western prairies, grasslands and foothills, Canadian Rockies, Pacific Coast, and rugged terrain of Eastern Canada.  An avid hiker, cross country and downhill skier, Stephen draws much inspiration from the outdoors. Stephen has been influenced by and appreciates many Canadian Artists, in particular the Group of Seven.
