Émilie Tremblay has been animating independently for 10 years, including attending Sheridan College's Bachelor of Applied Animation.
For five years they have instructed various types of arts to kids and adults alike, and have been working as an independent artist for three years.
In their artistic career they have worked primarily as a character animator and designer; having been trained in theater before becoming an animator, they have a deep fascination with body language as an acting tool.
Emilie loves teaching because they get to share methods of artistic expression and help others fulfill their vision in a way that invigorates the spirit. They believe that art is healing to the brain. Tremblay encourages focus on personal health while practicing this challenging method of filmmaking.

Fundamentals in Animation | Drawing for Animators
"The Fundamentals in Animation class is designed to creatively apply the basics of animation while working on useful projects such as loops, morphs, and medium explorations.
Using Richard Williams's Animator's Survival Kit as the textbook provides a plethora of diagrams which can help visualize the animated concepts explored in this class. We use a combination of presentations, discussions, and demonstrations to show their method, and invite discourse when other methods might be better for individual students." - Emilie
