Heart of Vis

Vis means Strength, Force, or Power.

AUArts alum Lindsay Sorell (BFA ’12, Drawing) was looking to regain a heart of strength and positive creativity after going through difficult life events. She spent time walking in the Saskatchewan bush and abroad in Scotland travelling and sketching, remembering her friendships and looking for beauty around her, and this is what she saw.

Lindsay Sorell is an artist based in Waskesiu, Saskatchewan. She holds a BFA in Drawing with Distinction from Alberta University of the Arts (2012), and an MA in Modern Languages and Cultural Studies from University of Alberta (2021).
