President Dr. Daniel Doz Receives The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medal

Alberta University of the Arts President and CEO Dr. Daniel Doz has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee Medal.
 
The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal was created to mark the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty’s Accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. The medal honours The Queen and her lifelong service to Canada, while recognizing the significant contributions and achievements of Canadians.

President Doz received his commemorative medal alongside 21 recipients during a presentation ceremony recognizing select individuals who have made a contribution to the Province of Alberta. The Honourable Salma Lakhani, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta and the Honourable Jason Kenney, Premier of Alberta were in attendance.

7,000 Albertans will receive the medal at ceremonies throughout the year, organized by The Lieutenant Governor and program partners.

This is President Doz’s third medal, he previously received the Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013 (Canada), and the Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques (Knight of the Order of Academic Palms - France ) in 2021.
