Richard Brown
The IKG presents newly commissioned work by Richard Brown. The Calgary-based visual artist has long had an interest in the work of Vermeer, especially the paintings that raise questions about how much one can know through seeing. The exhibition explores this terrain through an installation of paintings and stereo photography.
Richard Brown's studio work consists of painting, drawing and stereo photography. He currently lives in Calgary, where he is an Assistant Professor and the Chair of the School of Visual Arts at the Alberta College of Art + Design. He also plays in a few bands, including one with artist Rita McKeough.
