Alumni Quotes, taken from Art to Dine For:
Kim Biggs:
"ACAD gave me an excellent foundation. Whatever's happening at ACAD - it works."
Kim Biggs creates images that sell stars. As an art director Kim has created CD covers
for some of the biggest stars in the industry - like Aerosmith, Madonna and Paul Simon.
Katie Ohe:
"The College has a very rich heritage in terms of the alumni and faculty. Over the years
ACAD has contributed enormously to the Alberta legacy, to define the Alberta culture."
As an artist and educator, Katie Ohe has been contributing to Alberta's culture and
heritage for more than 35 years. Look for her public sculptures on grounds at the Calgary
Board of Education, the University of Calgary and ACAD.
Brian Cooley:
"What I learned at ACAD was how to really see what I'm looking at in order to recreate it.
An artist can change the way that a person looks at something for the rest of their life."
Brian Cooley, one of the best dinosaur builders in the world, has created accurate
representations of these prehistoric creatures for the Royal Tyrell Museum. His work has
also appeared on several covers of National Geographic magazine.
