Artist Emily Promise Allison presents performance: Conundra
As part of public programming for the IKG exhibition An Alberta A(r)ttitude, artist Emily Promise Allison (BFA '15, Sculpture) presents a 40-minute performance examining how materials transform and how humans interact with matter. Her dreamlike performances blur the lines between living and non-living things. Emily combines her intuitive physicality and everyday objects into poetic, absurd actions. Using humour and a playful approach, she explores the gap between the dream realm and waking life.
